Senior .NET Developer/Architect – Hybrid

This position requires a senior developer/architect with a strong background in .NET application development, SQL Server administration, and disaster recovery planning. The role is hybrid, with a mix of on‑site and remote work.

• SQL Server installation, maintenance, and optimization

• Financial application development (ASP.NET, C#)
• Stimul Soft Reporting and Active Reports
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2016
• Financial institution experience

This resource will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimizing the central infrastructure, application instances, and databases required to support the Budget System.

The client offers a custom‑developed Statewide Budget Solution that includes Annual Operational Plan, Biennial Plan, and Budget Manual modules. The system is built on .NET and utilizes Stimul Soft Reporting Software.

Responsibilities also include problem resolution, analysis, and additional support as directed by the Applications Development Manager.

• Maintain and develop packages to extract data elements into constructed data layouts.
• Maintain complicated applications supported by Applications Development:
  Budget System.
• Assist client employees with .NET solutions and mentor on best practices.
• Minimum of six years of SQL Server installation, maintenance, and optimization experience.
• Good knowledge of MSDTC.
• Experience with design and maintenance of TDE encryption.
• Experience using Integration Services or SSIS packages to import and export data to/from SQL.
• Experience developing Windows services.
• Experience developing web services.
• Experience designing and testing disaster recovery plans.
• Ability to write and review  code.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience developing detailed technical infrastructure diagrams and specifications.

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

• SQL Server installation, maintenance, and optimization experience – Required – 6 Years
• Financial Institution Experience – Required – 6 Years
• Working knowledge of state and federal laws, procurement, budget, human resources, payroll laws and processes, administrative practices and procedures – Highly desired
