Class Times:Fridays – 1:00-6:00 p.m.;other times as needed
Essential Functions
- We are hiring TAs for employment through Fall and Spring for GAM 200/250 TA for CS students.
- You will assist the instructor with labs and grading.
- You will support students with Technical, Design, or Production assistance during Friday labs and other times as available.
- You will give special focus to working with the game teams to solve problems and provide feedback and guidance.
- Support GAM 200/250 students with technical, design, and/or production assistance during Friday labs and other times as available.
- Work with the game teams to solve problems and provide feedback and guidance.
- Assist the instructors with grading and other course tasks.
- Other tasks as requested, to aid in the development and support of the sophomore game teams.
- Willingness and desire to support faculty, other TAs, and students through digital and in person communication.
- You must be located in Washington state.
- Be available to help during GAM 200 and 250 labs on Friday afternoons in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.
- In Fall and Spring semesters, TAs also MUST be available for the one-day “TCR Saturday” grading event, which is held on the Saturday before Finals week.
Experience
Ideal candidates will have acted before in a leadership position (GAM team Producer or Associate Producer; GAM team Design Lead; GAM team Technical Director, core Graphics programmer, core Engine, Physics, Physics, Buildmaster, or IMGUI programmer; Audio Lead; or a separate TA/Tutor position, etc.).
As a plus, they will have a familiarity with project management software, and SVN and/or GIT. In Fall and Spring semesters, TAs must be available to students via MS Teams chat (text or voice/video) on an as-needed basis.

Students may not work during a time when they have a class scheduled, or their class is canceled or ends early. TAs who do not follow this requirement will be immediately released from their GAM 200/250 TA employment. - IMPORTANT:
Student workers must reside within the state of Washington. Working remotely from outside of Washington is not permitted. - This position is primarily an on-campus position, although some tasks can be performed remotely via MS Teams and Discord.

Requirements:
- A strong desire to help others, and to improve student and team outcomes at Digi Pen.
- A grade of at least a “B” or "P" in GAM 250 or equivalent second semester sophomore game/film projects course.
- Are in a BAGDor any undergraduate CS program at Digi Pen.
- A proven ability to work well onsite and remotely, with minimal direct supervision.
- Candidates must be available to work onsite and also via Teams chat and/or voice for scheduled meetings and work sessions.
- Ideal candidates will have acted before in a leadership position (Producer, Co-Producer, Associate Producer, Technical Director, Graphics core, Engine core, Physics core, ImGUI core, Buildmaster core, Design Lead, Art Lead, or Audio Lead on a GAM team, or held a TA/Tutor position at Digi Pen).
