About the role

This role is heavily focused on frontend leadership within a complex payments environment. You’ll be responsible for shaping how modern web platforms are designed, built, and scaled, while working side-by-side with a client’s internal teams.

You won’t just be writing code. You’ll be setting direction, making architectural decisions, mentoring other frontend engineers, and acting as a technical counterpart to product and design leadership. The work is hands-on where it matters, and strategic where it counts.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the frontend architecture and technical direction across one or multiple teams
• Designing and building high-performance
  , scalable web applications
• Setting standards for code quality, performance, accessibility, and maintainability
• Mentoring and coaching engineers, raising the overall frontend bar
• Driving adoption of modern frontend tools, patterns, and frameworks
• Partnering closely with product, design, and backend teams
• Providing technical leadership in a client-facing environment
• Ensuring consistency and long-term health across complex frontend codebases

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of experience building complex web applications at scale
• Deep expertise in React
  , Type Script , and modern frontend ecosystems
• Strong architectural and systems-level thinking
• Proven experience in a frontend lead

  , or staff-level role
• A track record of mentoring engineers and influencing engineering culture
• Experience working closely with product and design stakeholders
