We’re hiring a Ruby on Rails Engineering Manager to lead backend development for a fast-growing iGaming company operating in regulated US markets. This is a full time, remote role focused on building and scaling high availability Ruby on Rails platforms that support real money gaming, payments, player accounts, and promotions. The tech stack is centered on Ruby on Rails, Postgre
SQL, AWS, and event-driven services, supporting thousands of concurrent users in real time.
This is a chance to own and shape the core platform of a rapidly expanding iGaming product not just manage tickets. - Strong experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments
- Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead
- Experience building and scaling high-traffic, high-availability systems
- Solid understanding of Postgre
SQL or MySQL - Experience with background job processing (Sidekiq or similar)
- Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience in iGaming, betting, fintech, or other regulated industries
- AWS cloud experience
- Experience with event-driven or microservice architectures
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to compliance, security, or fraud-prevention systems
- 70% Ruby on Rails / Backend Systems
