• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale and align it with critical business-impacting projects

• Minimum of 8 years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
• Proven track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies such as AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes
• Experience in delivering major features or components through the definition of technical and execution plans
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration with a global engineering team
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience

• Experience thriving in ambiguous situations and comfortable with both low-level language idioms and large system architecture
• Demonstrated growth and impact trajectory through gathering and iterating on feedback from peers
