BOSS Fire is looking for a Software Tester to join our innovative team in San Jose. This full-time, remote position is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about ensuring software quality in the Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing industry.
As a Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in identifying defects, validating functionality, and ensuring that our software solutions meet the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate with developers and product managers to enhance our product offerings, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional service and reliability to our clients.
We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $130,000 annually, along with a supportive work environment that fosters professional development and growth.
Responsibilities- Design and execute test plans and test cases for software applications
- Identify, document, and track software defects
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product features and functionality
- Perform regression testing and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software
- Assist in the development of automated testing scripts
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on product improvements
- Report test results and provide recommendations for improvements
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
- Familiarity with manual and automated testing methodologies
- Experience with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Test Rail)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
