About the roleWe are seeking a highly skilled backend/full-stack engineer who doesn't just write code—you architect elegant solutions. You have immense hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI, and you understand how to build systems that scale. You're proficient with modern AI coding tools and use them strategically to enhance your productivity while maintaining high standards for code quality and security. You take pride in crafting performant, reliable backend services and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
You're curious, adaptable, and excited about staying at the forefront of backend innovation while maintaining strong fundamentals in distributed systems and cloud architecture.
As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing backend systems and full-stack features that power our web applications. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver reliable, performant services that scale with our business. Your technical expertise in Python/FastAPI and AWS infrastructure, combined with proficiency in AI coding tools, will enable you to write efficient, maintainable code at scale while staying at the forefront of backend development practices.
LocationThis position is fully remote with the expectation to travel quarterly to our office in New Haven, CT. We do not provide work visa sponsorship. This position is only open to candidates who are legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
