Our team is part of the Security organization, responsible for developing products and platforms focused on security. Our product is Bot Manager. It is designed to provide cloud computing security, prevent data theft and mitigate large account takeover attempts.

We build unique technology to handle petabytes of data and conduct billions of secure transactions daily.

Partner with the best. As part of the Bot Manager team, you will focus on building highly usable, reliable, scalable software solutions. We build the solutions for bot threat detection, protection and control feature, allowing our customers to better manage bot traffic and help improve the internet for millions of people.

• Working on projects that improve our bot detection products, helping Akamai lead in bot detection.
• Implementing new features from scratch.
• Enhancing existing features and optimize functionality from conception and design through testing and deployment.
• Working with level 3 support to troubleshoot complex problems or customer issues.
• Working on data analysis for web and mobile platforms.
• Making improvements to client-side components like JavaScript as needed.

• Have overall software development experience and a relevant degree in Computer Science.
• Have experience working with Python for web development and web API development.
• Have a good understanding of data formats such as JSON and XML.
• Work experience or understanding of Machine Learning or Data Science is an asset.
• Be able to design with the best possible architectures and write clean, well-structured code.

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US-based candidates, the base salary ranges from $95,000 - $171,000/year; salary is determined by factors including experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US varies. The compensation package may include incentive compensation opportunities, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
