Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Development Lead for a hybrid or remote position based in Milwaukee, WI. This is a contract to hire or direct hire opportunity.

Pay range: $75.00 - 85.00 per hour, W2, depending on skills and experience.

The Dev Lead is a critical leadership role within the Software Engineering organization, responsible for balancing technical excellence, team leadership, and business alignment. Acting as both a hands‑on technical leader and a people leader, the Dev Lead ensures teams deliver high‑quality, reliable software that drives real business and customer value.

This role combines technical oversight, process facilitation, and team development, serving as the primary steward of delivery quality, execution rhythm, and team health.

• Ensure the team is focused on solving business problems
  , not just delivering features.
• Partner closely with Product Owners and Product Managers to understand product roadmaps, refine iterations, and balance feasibility, cost, and business value.
• Validate that delivered features are adopted by customers and deliver expected outcomes.

• Maintain high engineering standards through design and peer code reviews.
• Ensure code meets test coverage and quality expectations.
• Deliver software with strong usability, maintainability, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure releases are stable and free from major defects.

• Balance speed and quality to support sustainable delivery.
• Establish a consistent rhythm of iterative development that enables early value delivery and continuous learning.
• Maintain transparency and predictability in delivery for leadership and stakeholders.

• Build a healthy, collaborative team culture through mentoring and professional development.
• Encourage trust, open communication, and accountability.

• Lead daily standups and sprint ceremonies with focus on delivery outcomes.
• Facilitate technical discussions during refinement and planning.
• Act as the primary technical spokesperson during sprint reviews.
• Translate technical decisions into clear business context.
• Align the team on realistic, achievable sprint commitments.

The Dev Lead must be hands‑on and technically credible across a modern full‑stack environment.

• Ability to guide architectural decisions and review full‑stack code
• Strong API design and integration experience
• Experience working across multiple databases
