You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Software Development:
    Design, develop, test, and maintain high‑quality software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks
  • System Design:
    Collaborate with architects and other engineers to design scalable, secure, and efficient systems
  • Code Reviews:
    Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
  • Problem Solving:
    Analyze complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and QA teams, to deliver software that meets business requirements
  • Mentorship:
    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members
  • Agile Practices:
    Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
  • Documentation:
    Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and codebases
  • Performance Optimization:
    Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications and systems
  • Dev Ops Integration:
    Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of applications
  • Compliance:
    Ensure software solutions comply with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Continuous Learning:
    Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Proven experience with Java
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Hands‑on experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
  • Proficiency in database technologies (SQL and No

    SQL)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Python or similar programming languages
  • Knowledge of healthcare domain systems and standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR)
  • Knowledge of claims processing
  • Familiarity with data streaming technologies like Kafka
  • AI/ML related skills
Soft Skills
  • Solid problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
