This position is primarily a Desktop Application Software Engineer role with some exposure to cloud and web technologies.
Primary Area:Desktop Software Development
The engineer will spend most of their time:
- Building and maintaining Windows desktop applications
- Using C#, .NET, WPF, and Windows Forms
- Integrating inspection & control features for machinery (likely hardware‑heavy or industrial systems)
This is NOT a typical web developer or mobile developer role—it's strongly desktop‑focused.
Technical Environment Required / Core:- C# / .NET
- WPF & Win Forms
- SQL
- Experience with desktop UI frameworks
- Ability to work with hardware‑related application features (machine control, inspection tools)
- Experience with Aura Platform (used in railroad tie inspection systems)
- Interest in cloud integration and web technologies for future projects
- Strong background in Windows desktop application engineering
- Comfortable with industrial or machine‑related software
- Able to modernize older codebases (C#, Python, SQL)
- Willing to grow toward cloud & web integration long-term
