We are seeking an experienced candidate with strong Java development, Dev Ops engineering, and Service Level Owner (SLO) responsibilities. This role is critical in maintaining system reliability, delivery velocity, and quality across multiple eligibility and enterprise platforms.

- Java Engineering (40%)
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and services
- Implement high quality, efficient, and maintainable code following engineering best practices
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend processing pipelines
- Perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure code quality
- Dev Ops Engineering (30%)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, or similar
- Manage infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, Helm, or Cloud Formation
- Support containerization and orchestration via Docker and Kubernetes/AKS/EKS
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging via tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, App Dynamics, Dynatrace, etc
- Service Level Owner (SLO) Responsibilities (30%)
- Define, monitor, and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs for critical platforms
- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance across multiple applications (e.g., CSP, Cosmos, USP)
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action implementation
- Partner with cross functional teams-including QE, product, infrastructure, and support-to ensure operational excellence
- Drive enterprise-wide improvements in reliability, resiliency, and delegation platforms
- 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops or Site Reliability Engineering
- Experience managing production systems with well-defined SLO/SLI frameworks
- Solid knowledge of:
- Java 8+
- Spring / Spring Boot
- REST APIs
- Microservices architectures
- Splunk
- Expertise with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Git Hub, Azure Dev Ops, etc.)
- Solid background in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Solid troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization skills
- Experience with enterprise eligibility systems (CSP, Cosmos, USP) or similar platforms
- Experience in healthcare, payer systems, or large-scale enterprise environments
- Knowledge of Kafka, MQ, or event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and QE collaboration
- Proven solid communication and coordination across multiple engineering and product teams
- Proven ability to lead operational discussions and drive decisions
- Proven ownership mindset with a focus on reliability, quality, and delivery velocity

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
