Mainframe Developer

Location:

Minneapolis, MN – Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days work from home.

Only W2.

• Design, develop, test, and implement enhancements and changes to mainframe applications
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Perform analysis, debugging, and resolution of application issues in production and non-production environments
• Develop and integrate Python components to support mainframe or distributed processing needs
• Collaborate in technical, architectural, and design discussions with onshore and offshore teams
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to coding standards
• Work effectively in a global virtual team environment across time zones
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members as needed

• Strong technical expertise in Enterprise COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2
• Proven experience in mainframe application development on IBM System z
• Hands‑on experience in coding, testing, and implementing software changes
• Ability to develop and maintain Python‑based components
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes and best practices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
• High adaptability and flexibility in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong team player with the ability to work across global teams
