What are we looking for?Soft Pro is seeking a Release/Dev Ops Engineer to join our talented and passionate Release Management development team. We are an established team of highly skilled engineers and are busy creating enhancements that will continue to benefit our customers for years and years to come! We use the latest Microsoft technologies and encourage design input and creativity. We are looking for awesome people to join the Soft Pro Team!
This position is located in the Raleigh, NC office and work a hybrid schedule. We will consider a remote employee with the right skillset/experience.
- Work on stories of high complexity and scope
- Evaluation and analysis of business requirements
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and other IT staff members to manage code releases
- Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops
- Build automated deployments through the use of configuration management technology, and deploy new modules, upgrades and complete fixes within the production environment
- Routine application maintenance tasks
- Anticipate and communicate problems to team members
- Identify and recommend creative ways to leverage and/or enhance existing practices
- Manage tasks with minimal supervision from management
- Collaborate with local and remote teams
- Keep documentation up to date
- Experience with creating and maintaining CI/CD integrations with Bitbucket
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, SQL Server and Networking Infrastructure.
- Build automated processes using well-known languages and frameworks such as Power Shell Azure CLI, Python, YML, XML, JSON, Terraform, Azure Templates, Kubernetes
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops
- Experience supporting and administering tools including Azure Dev Ops
- Experience with azure components such as Azure Key Vault, Azure Dev Test Lab etc.
- Ability to communicate with people inside and outside of technology. Must have an ability to listen and understand differing viewpoints and be able to quickly assimilate new information.
- Ability to see the big picture and identify the appropriate metrics to identify success
- Ability to trade off functionality with delivery time without sacrificing quality or integrity.
- Experience working with teams from several departments to facilitate releases
- Works well with remote teams
- Experience in capacity monitoring and trend analysis
- Experience with API consumption
- Experience with C#, YAML and SQL
- Experience in package management such as Nu Get
- Strong working knowledge of the software build and release process
- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative
- Experience with Agile software development
- Works on tasks independently, but with awareness of business priorities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
