Position: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Technology team. This role is critical in driving our commitment to quality by designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks for our core web software. The successful candidate will leverage deep technical expertise to integrate quality assurance seamlessly into the development lifecycle.

a fully remote position. We value collaboration and communication among our team members, so we expect the developer to work in our office in Draper, Utah a minimum of 3 days a week. Requirements:

  • Lead the test strategy and own the quality of entire product features, designing complex, scalable test plans.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing using Python, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Product, Dev Ops) to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using Git Hub Actions or Jenkins).
  • Participate in code reviews with a focus on code quality, testability, and efficient implementation.
  • Develop and manage complex test environments and applications on the AWS platform.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other quality assurance team members on testing best practices and framework usage.
  • Perform advanced debugging and root cause analysis for critical production and development issues.
  • Continuously research and advocate for new tools and emerging technologies to enhance our quality engineering processes, including performance and security testing tools.
  • Provide recommendations to the product based on insights learned from testing the software and through feedback received from users.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3+ years of professional experience in software development and test automation.
  • Expert proficiency in Python for backend testing and utilities.
  • Strong experience with modern UI testing frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Experience with web development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Type Script for front-end testing.
  • Familiarity with deploying test automations to cloud services such as AWS.
  • Experience with Postgre

    SQL or other relational databases for data validation and test environment setup.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to independently learn and solve complex, ambiguous problems with minimal supervision.
