Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Software Developer to join our Edge Control Server development team, contributing to the development of a corporate Building Management System (BMS) platform. This role offers a great opportunity for an early career engineer to grow technically while collaborating with experienced developers on a globally used product. The position is based in Franklin, TN & Andover, MA, offering a hybrid onsite work model.

• Participate in requirements analysis and design discussions.
• 1+ years of C++ development experience
• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the Edge Control platform.
• Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code.
• Debug issues and assist with performance and stability improvements.
• Contribute to code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
• Support defect resolution and incremental improvements to existing systems.

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience with software development or strong academic/project experience.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming principles.
• Familiarity with writing modular, readable, and testable code.
• Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance concepts.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• Exposure to Linux environments.
• Basic understanding of SQL or databases.
• Experience or coursework in Python.
• Awareness of networking concepts (TCP/IP).
• Exposure to unit testing or CI/CD pipelines.

The role involves working in a collaborative and dynamic environment with global development teams in an Agile setting. The position requires participation in a tech screening, followed by a panel onsite interview which includes white‑boarding and code reviews. The work environment is supportive, focusing on learning and growing in technical depth while contributing to innovative solutions. 3 days in office, 2 days work from home.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
