Lead iOS Developer – Remote
About the RoleCognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly skilled Lead iOS Developer with extensive experience designing, developing, and delivering high‑performing, scalable enterprise mobile applications.
In this role, you will work on high‑demand digital products while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and clients. You will provide technical leadership, drive high‑quality engineering practices, and help shape the mobile technology roadmap. ResponsibilitiesEvaluate product requirements and determine technical feasibility based on business needs.
Provide technical leadership across design, development, code reviews, and production support for both iOS and Android applications.
Lead the design and implementation of critical mobile components, systems, and integrations across a full‑stack environment.
Mentor and guide technical team members, fostering growth and best practices.
Develop and enforce mobile coding standards, patterns, and development guidelines.
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and business stakeholders to define and drive the technical roadmap.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to guide innovation and continuous improvement.
9+ years of professional experience in native iOS
1+ years of hands‑on experience building and debugging both iOS and Android applications.
Published 1 or more native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex mobile solutions involving multiple stakeholders.
Strong experience designing critical mobile features that interact with multiple internal and external systems.
Deep understanding of software engineering processes in a distributed team environment.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
Proven experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to team success.
