** POSITION SUMMARY
** CVS Health Digital is looking for hands-on, passionate people who want to join a high energy and growing team to make a difference in customers’ lives and who want to be on the forefront of digital innovation that aims to reinvent what a pharmacy and a health care company can be in the digital world. Currently, we are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer who will design, develop, and implement digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.
* Expectations for the Role
** Establish and implement processes to streamline software development and ensure adherence to best practices
* Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster a productive and collaborative work environment
* Design and develop complex software systems to meet business requirements and optimize performance
* Assess project requirements and deliver projects on time and within budget
* Conduct in-depth technical assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in software development processes
* Communicate strategically with key stakeholders, including business leaders and project sponsors, to understand their needs and expectations for software projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maximizing customer satisfaction
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of software development efforts with overall project goals and timelines
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices to maintain the quality and security of software products
* Evaluate and plan the enhancement of cloud-based console batches and UI applications to leverage cloud-native features for improved scalability and performance
* Integrate applications with cloud-native services such as serverless computing and managed databases
* Implement security measures and best practices for cloud deployments
* Optimize applications for cloud environments to maximize cost-efficiency and resource utilization
** REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
*** 5+ years of software engineering experience with a specific knowledge within C#, .NET and ASP.NET
* 3+ years of experience in Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Web Jobs, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Data Lake (ADL) is required
* 3+ years of knowledge within front end development (Angular / React)
* 3+ years of hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as a strong understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
* Proven track record of working with complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance tuning
