š About us - Join our mission to fight climate change
Weāre building the carbon accounting platform that enterprises trust for compliance reporting and decarbonization decisions. We're Series A funded (ā¬6.5M from Kvanted and ENV), working with enterprise customers, and at an inflection point: quality can't stay distributed across engineers anymore. We need someone to own it.
If you want to build QA practices that directly impact how companies measure and reduce their carbon footprint, keep reading.
We are looking for a QA Lead to build and own the quality discipline across our engineering team from the ground up. Your mission is to build test automation, data validation frameworks and quality practices that scale with us.
We need someone who can define what "quality" means for a dataāintensive platform, build the testing strategy and tooling to enforce it, and partner with engineers to make quality a habit rather than a gate.
We are open to hiring fully remotely for this role within Europe timezone.
šÆ What youāll doDefine and own the testing strategy across the platform - unit, integration, E2E, and data validation testing for a system that spans APIs, async pipelines, and analytics layers
Build test automation that gives engineers fast, reliable feedback - so quality is caught before production, not after
Establish data correctness validation - our platform calculates CO2 emissions from raw activity data, and the numbers must be auditable and accurate
Partner with engineers to embed quality into their development workflow - not as a gate at the end, but as a practice throughout
Own the QA process for releases - coordinate validation across review environments, define what "ready for production" means, and make sure nothing ships without confidence
We are not looking for a tester. Youāll create a robust QA framework that supports engineers to test their own work, and embeds testing and automation into our delivery life cycles, so that manual testing is the fallback mechanism and not the norm.
Bring 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering with 3+ years in QA/quality engineering
.Are a QAācentric Software Engineer that understands code and architecture
Are Dev Opsāfirst
, and have experience embedding QA practices with tools, scripts and frameworksHave built QA practices from scratch
, or significantly matured themThink about quality as data correctness
, not just "no bugs" - you've tested systems where wrong output is worse than a crashed pageAre handsāon with test automation - you write and maintain E2E and integration tests, not just test plans
Understand async and eventādriven systems - you know how to test pipelines where data flows through queues and gets processed asynchronously
Care about developer experience - the test infrastructure you build is fast, reliable, and something engineers actually want to use
Can work across the full stack - comfortable validating frontend behavior, API responses, database state, and calculated outputs
Communicate clearly with both engineers and product - you can explain what's risky about a release and what needs more validation without creating bottlenecks
Experience with Type Script/Node.js test frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress)
Familiarity with AWS services from a testing perspective(Lambda, SQS, ECS)
Experience testing data pipelines, ETL, or analytics systems
Climate tech, carbon accounting, or complianceāgrade data systems
Series A/B startup experience
Real impact - Your quality ensures enterprises get accurate carbon data. That accuracy drives real decarbonization decisions.
Right timing - Early enough to shape everything, mature enough to have real users depending on quality.
Exceptional team - Work directly with our founders Helen, Fabian, and Tiago. Multicultural, collaborative, and actually passionate about climate actionānot just talking about it.
