The company's Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure division is currently seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team. This position will be a hybrid office/remote role as long as you live within 50 miles of our Raleigh, NC facility. Relocation benefits and sponsorship will be provided within the United States only.

The Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer is primarily responsible for developing embedded firmware for CPDI power conversion products (UPS, Energy Storage products) and technology development projects. The senior engineer will own feature design, development, unit testing and support validation. Projects include developing firmware for proof‑of‑concept technology demonstrators, new products, new features, and bug fixes.

In this function you will:
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams in the development, test, and release of embedded firmware for CPDI product lines and technology development projects.
  • Own design and development of product features. Write and maintain functional specifications of design solutions.
  • Analyze the power system architecture and requirements to develop technical solutions to achieve product requirements.
  • Develop firmware that meets coding standards and product design requirements. Document and formally release embedded software following company procedures.
  • Develop test plans and monitor test results.
  • Lead firmware and functional design reviews at various product development stages.
  • Keep track of latest embedded software strategies, processes, and tools. Apply knowledge to power electronic applications.
