Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, C# / Unity Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software
The .NET Application Developer uses AI-assisted development practices, including Git Hub Copilot and Visual Studio Code as primary engineering tools, to design, build, and support secure, scalable, and mission-critical applications. This role specializes in RESTful API and service development and is responsible for delivering high-quality solutions across web, microservice, and integration platforms using modern architecture and Dev Ops practices.
This position is fulltime remote. Selected candidate must reside in North Carolina. Some travel for onsite meetings to the Home office at Morrisville may be required.
Responsibilities & Duties- Design & Develop RESTful APIs
- Build and maintain .NET & .NETCore services using C#
- Apply clean architecture, CQRS, and DDD patterns
- Implement JWT based authentication/authorization
- Create & Maintain Supporting Applications
- Write console utilities that consume APIs
- Contribute to Angular/Type Script front ends and legacy MVC/Razor views
- Produce data export/import tools (CSV, TXT, XLSX)
- AI-Assisted Development, Code Quality & Secure Engineering
- Leverage Git Hub Copilot and VSCode extensions for AI driven code generation
- Conduct peer code reviews and enforce DRY, SOLID, and security best practices
- Write and maintain meaningful unit tests and contribute to team code coverage and quality targets
- Apply AI-assisted coding tools responsibly with validation, review, and secure coding practices
- Architecture Alignment
- Follow established organizational architecture standards (Clean Architecture, layered design, CQRS, or equivalent patterns)
- CI/CD & Dev Ops Collaboration
- Push code to Azure Dev Ops Git repos
- Define build/release pipelines (YAML) for automated testing and deployment to IIS/Azure App Service
- Use Power Shell/CLI scripts for environment provisioning
- Database Design & Maintenance
- Develop T SQL stored procedures, functions, and SSRS reports
- Model entities with Entity Framework Core; manage migrations
- Tune queries for high volume operations
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain up to date API Swagger/OpenAPI specs
- Create consumer guides, troubleshooting run books, and onboarding docs in Confluence/Share Point
- Mentor junior developers on API design and AI assistant usage
- Agile Participation
- Attend sprint planning, daily stand ups, retrospectives
- Track work in Azure Boards; update status and acceptance criteria
- Security & Compliance
- Conduct static code analysis (Sonar Qube, etc.)
- Review and remediate OWASP Top
10 findings - Follow secure development, PHI-safe, and regulatory compliance standards where applicable
Education & Experience
- Graduation from a Community College or Technical School with a major in computer science or related field and six (6) years of experience in a computer science related field including experience in applications development and/or database development.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or related field and four (4) years of experience in a computer science related field including experience in web programming, BI applications development, and/or related Big data systems.
Preferred:
- Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) is preferred

Employment for this position is contingent upon a satisfactory background check and credit check, which will be performed after acceptance of an offer of employment and prior to the employee's start date.
Salary Range$91,884 - $117,152/Annually
Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
