Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Java Developer

Overview

Rite-Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to support in a remote capacity, but within DC metro area. We are looking for a talented, motivated and team-oriented Software Engineer with five (5) or more years of experience to support numerous programs across various customers. Our team of developers works together to develop, sustain, and maintain code across the full stack, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to build information and tactical systems, user interfaces, and command and control.

• Partner with team to understand, create, and modify applications using programming languages/tools such as Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Postgre
  
  SQL/PostGIS, Java script/Typescript, HTML/CSS, UI/UX and Linux.
• Design, develop, evaluate, and test system/software integration
• Interpret, assess, and support maintenance of requirements and develop software designs
• Ability to design and implement within a team environment with minimal direction
• Communicate regularly with functional team leads to ensure effective work partnerships

• Minimum 5 years of Software Development/Integration experience
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology field
• Experience with scripting languages
• Solid command of object-oriented software development
• Experience with development in Linux-based environments
• Experience with Git/Git Lab version control
• Experience with Containers and Kubernetes
• Strong problem solving, application testing, and debugging capabilities
• Working knowledge of basic networking and network protocols
• Familiar with agile and/or traditional software development life cycle (SDLC) approaches
• Effective written and verbal skills
• Able to work and thrive in both individual and team-based development environments
• Active Department of Defense security clearance required
