Sr. Software Engineer; Java &SQL -remote

Overview

Senior Software Engineer position, fully remote (USA/Canada only), no sponsorship.

Requires completion of a coding assessment before interview.

Only W2/1099 – No Corp-to-Corp

• Responsibilities include generating ideas, building robust code, and collaborating with product management to define/prioritize features.
• Works in a modified Scrum environment, self-managing tasks and timelines.
• Peer reviews code for bugs, performance, security, and code quality.
• Contributes to best practices in design, implementation, and coding standards.
• Delivers high-quality, well-tested code and meets project deadlines.
• Conducts unit and system-level testing.
• Implements all aspects of application design, including performance, caching, state management, error logging, scalability, configuration, testing procedures, and naming standards.

• Requires a BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12 years of software development experience, with object-oriented design skills and knowledge of website usability.
• Strong proficiency in Java and SQL.
• Preferred experience in delivering enterprise software, fixing performance/scalability/concurrency issues, Hibernate/Spring, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and Gradle.
