• Design, build, and operate API and full-stack solutions that serve as the "source of truth" for travel bookings across all partners
• Identify and resolve engineering bottlenecks to improve system performance and scalability
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure alignment on technical roadmaps
• Drive decision-making through high-quality documentation and asynchronous communication
• Lead the evolution of the platform to support "configuration over customization" for partners

• Proven experience in distributed system development, preferably in Scala
• Strong foundational product thinking focused on customer experience and stable commerce engines
• Ability to navigate and improve complex codebases while delivering results
• Experience with multi-tenant architectures and modular systems
• Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration across teams

• Experience working in a startup environment with a focus on innovation and risk-taking
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related managed services
• Deep understanding of functional programming patterns and high concurrency
• Proven ability to mentor and raise the technical standards within an engineering organization
• Knowledge of fintech solutions related to the travel industry
