Work when you want, where you want and how you want. The position is remote from Croatia. Open Research is located in Vienna, Austria, and is about to start a regional office in Croatia.

– You will love your job  are a talented and proactive Java developer responsible for growing our dispatching solution from a custom-built system to a multi-tenant application that can be extended for different client needs.

Join our product team to develop a Java/Kotlin based backend with an Angular frontend and mobile application. If you want to work full-stack – that’s fine, but focusing on the backend is also acceptable. Your task will be to help define requirements with our product owners, create a plan for implementation, and then implement the solutions. We have a strong emphasis on automated testing, so knowledge in this area is a plus.

• Java/Spring Boot and the typical libraries for API development
• MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Experience in planning and creating REST APIs
• Git
• JMS Broker/Kafka
• Fluent in English (text & speech)
• Energy and commitment to create a good product
• Interest to improve and learn continuously
• Passionate about trying out new technologies
• Nice-to-have: AWS, OpenAPI/Swagger, Terraform, Git Lab CI/CD, Angular, Linux
• Nice-to-have:
  Kotlin – easy to learn if you come from Java
