Position: SDET/QA
Remote full‑time position across the United States. Reports to the QA Manager within the Mobile Application Development team and collaborates closely with engineers on mobile, web, and platform.
Responsibilities- Write and maintain Appium‑based automated test suites for iOS and Android across UI, integration, and API layers.
- Apply automation practices to web and other application surfaces when needed.
- Contribute to the automation framework, CI/CD integration, and shared test utilities.
- Develop both automated and manual test plans for iOS/Android apps and extend coverage to web surfaces.
- Run test execution on real devices and emulators, scaling across device configurations.
- Write clear defect tickets with repro steps, screenshots, logs, and automation scripts.
- Maintain up‑to‑date test plans, automation setup guides, and contribution instructions.
- Participate in the team’s testing roadmap, capacity estimation, and quarterly planning for automation items.
- 2‑4 years of QA or SDET experience with significant mobile automation depth.
- Proficiency with mobile testing frameworks (XCTest, Espresso, Appium) and web automation tools (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium).
- Experience executing tests on real devices and emulators, with strong skills in scaling test coverage.
- Strong communication skills, able to meet deadlines, flag risks, and drive releases on time.
- Hands‑on ability to modernize test processes and replace manual workflows with automation.
- Nice to have:
- Performance or load testing experience for mobile or web.
- Accessibility testing knowledge (WCAG compliance).
- Visual regression testing or screenshot diffing skills.
- Open‑source contributions or public technical writing.
- Months 1–3:
Learn the mobile codebase, existing test coverage, and release process; begin writing automated tests for high‑priority gaps. - Months 3–6:
Ship meaningful additions to test coverage and framework reliability; integrate suites into the release pipeline. - Months 6–12:
Own a substantial portion of mobile automation; demonstrate measurable gains in defect detection or test cycle time; start contributing automation patterns beyond mobile.
- Write code and communicate electronically (chat, email); participate in video and/or audio discussions; travel in person 2–4 times per year.
- Reach:

Pick, pinch, type or otherwise work primarily with fingers. - Talking:
Express ideas by spoken word; accurate, loud, or quick instructions. - Hearing:
Perceive sounds at normal speaking levels; maintain detail through oral communication. - Repetitive motions:
Substantial movements of wrists, hands, and/or fingers. - Visual acuity:
Read, prepare, and analyze data and figures; view a computer terminal extensively. - No exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
