Engineer 2, Software (.NET)

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, which includes the ability to work from home, while also requiring to be in person as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St.

Louis, Missouri.

Responsibilities

Design, develop prototypes, and perform complicated application coding and programming. Interpret end‑user business requirements to develop and modify technical design specifications for off‑the‑shelf and/or custom‑developed applications. Analyze and review software requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost restraints. Perform unit and integration testing and assist with developing unit test scripts. Provide instruction, guidance, and mentoring to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.

  • Strong ability to communicate to technical and non‑technical audiences and across levels in the organization; able to leverage multiple modes of communication

  • Strong customer service skills with emphasis on understanding customer needs, prioritizing work appropriately and leveraging internal and external business partners to enable quality solutions
  • Ability to stay current on technological trends and how they impact one’s function; drives solutions by proposing, initiating, or explaining technical ideas to solve major problems
  • Ability to embrace change; flexible and agile in work and problem‑solving approach
  • Excellent problem solving which includes defining the problem, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing conclusions, and setting priorities
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications software
Required Qualifications
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or immediate surrounding area
  • Must have 3+ years of enterprise applications development experience
  • Experience with C#, LINQ, Entity Framework, , ASP.NET, SPA, JSON, IIS, SQL Server, SSIS, VB Script, OOD/OOP
  • Experience with front‑end design and development with languages such as JavaScript, jQuery, Angular

    JS, and HTML
  • Experience with unit testing and building scripts
  • Experience with relational database platforms
  • Experience with use of version control systems for code management
  • Committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Knowledge of MS Access, VBA, Excel, Cloud (AWS/Azure), MSTest, Jasmine, Karma, Power Shell, Python, REACT, Typescript, Vitest, and Co‑Pilot
  • Experience with an Agile/Kanban/Scrum development process is a plus but not required
  • Understanding of SOA
  • Experience with the Atlassian Toolset
