Akkodis is seeking a full-time ADAS Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and integrate software for prototype Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), covering the full stack from perception to control on our dedicated team in the Detroit Metropolitan area for the next several years. Our role is hybrid to allow working from home two days per week.
PhD candidates are encouraged to apply as we also have several other roles on this team to include a Robotics Simulation Engineer, AI Systems Engineers for Integration and Optimization.
Starting Salary Range:
Up to $125,000 (rate commensurate based on experience and education levels).
ADAS Software Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Develop and integrate software components and algorithms for ADAS prototypes
- Test and validate algorithms in simulation and real-world environments
- Collaborate with team of researchers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration
QUALIFICATIONS (required):
- Ongoing/completed Ph.D. in AI, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Masters degree are also acceptable.
- Strong programming/coding skills in Python and C++.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, robotics simulation, integration or optimization, preferably for the autonomous, ADAS, automotive industry.
- Hands-on experience with automotive or robotics software, including ROS, ROS2, or CARLA automotive simulators.
- Solid foundation in algorithms, software design principles, and efficient implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS (preferred):
- Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience integrating hardware and software systems.
- Familiarity with real-time systems and performance optimization.
- Experience working within an Agile development framework.
- Knowledge of deep learning, computer vision, planning, control and data analysis.
