Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software, Senior Developer
Location:
Remote positions available in the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV. Employees within a 90‑minute radius of Oak Brook, IL headquarters may be required to work in‑office four days per month.
This role is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have relevant experience with both front‑end and back‑end coding languages, software development architecture and design patterns, development frameworks, and third‑party libraries.
- Design, develop, and test applications (e.g., API, Web apps) in accordance with established standards.
- Work closely with design and product teams to ship delightful, engaging products using React, Type Script, NodeJS, Graph
QL and related technologies. - Mentor and coach team members through code reviews, thorough documentation, and technical guidance.
- Contribute to and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Foster an environment where diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences are embraced and valued.
- Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Collaborate with other software developers, product managers and software architects to plan, design, and build software.
- Ensure non‑functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are considered when designing and delivering solutions.
- Work in an Agile framework to identify and automate solutions that enhance developer experience and productivity.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture and technology innovation.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues and bugs in applications.
- Create design diagrams and technical documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in software or solution architecture roles, with a focus on designing and implementing complex, enterprise‑level solutions using cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and architectural frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery patterns, Cloud foundational patterns, Observability patterns, and Developer experience patterns.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with:
JavaScript, React, Type Script, Apollo Graph
QL, Git, Postgre
SQL, Google Cloud, Jest, Docker, CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with one or more cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience delivering client‑facing solutions;
Web portals, online payments, and third‑party integrations. - Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Expertise in delivering secure, high‑performance, fault‑tolerant, high‑availability solutions.
- Infrequent travel (approx. 10%).
- Ability to occasionally work overtime or after hours.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
$140,000–$160,000 per year.
