Our Cloud Core Infrastructure team isn't just managing servers; WE are the navigators of a massive, shifting ocean of data, compute and artificial intelligence. We maintain the 'vessels' (GKE clusters), the 'charts' (Terraform), and the 'treasure vaults' (Hashi Corp Vault) that keep Banno afloat. We’re looking for an Engineer who doesn't just want to 'work in tech,' but someone who hears the call of the open sea—the vast, unexplored potential of the deep.

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Lenexa, KS;
Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

The salary range for this position is $70,000- $100,000 and will be determined based on location and experience level. This role may require occasional travel, up to 8% for meetings, training, or conferences.

All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

• Watchkeeping:
  Monitoring our GKE and Dataflow horizons for any sign of trouble using Datadog and Honeycomb.
• Maintaining the Rigging:
  Using Terraform to make sure our cloud resources are sturdy and well-labeled.
• Securing the Cargo:
  Learning the art of secret management within Hashi Corp Vault to keep our keys out of the wrong hands.
• Ship’s Log:
  Helping us document our discoveries so the next explorer knows the way.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

• Enrolled in or a graduate of a computer science, or software engineering degree program or bootcamp.
• Navigational Scripting: A bit of Golang or Python to help automate the rowing.
• Container Craft:
  Experience with Docker or Kubernetes (knowing your way around a Pod).
• The Blueprinting:
  Familiarity with Terraform or other ways to chart the sea.
• Data Handling:
  Exposure to the big vaults like Mongo
  
  DB, Spanner, or Big Query.

• Insatiable Curiosity:
  You are the person who asks 'why?' until you hit the bedrock. You don't just want to fix a broken pipeline; you want to understand the physics of the failure.
• The Spirit of Exploration:
  You view a complex Terraform plan or a massive Big Query dataset not as a chore, but as a map of a new world. You are comfortable feeling 'lost' for a moment while you find the right path forward.
• A Love for the Sea (and its Systems):
  You appreciate that infrastructure is a living ecosystem. You value the stability of the tides and the discipline required to keep a ship (and a platform) 'Bristol fashion'—organized, clean, and ready for a storm.

  When a Spanner node lags or a Dataflow job hits a reef, you stay calm. You’re a problem-solver ready to weather the choppy seas
