Job Description
Breeze End Technology is seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer for our Alexandria, Virginia office. This role involves designing and implementing manual and automated testing strategies, maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks, and managing a team of SQA engineers.
Lead Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Duties- Lead and manage the QA team to develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
- Design and implement testing strategies and methodologies for mobile and web applications.
- Develop and execute automated test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, analyze, and report defects and issues promptly, working with the development team to resolve them.
- Monitor and track testing progress and provide regular status reports to directors.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other departments, including development and project management.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand testing needs, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, recommending improvements to test processes and procedures.
- Ensure that all automated tests are integrated into the Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on automation code quality.
- Drive test automation best practices across the organization.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and QA with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools.
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies and cross‑functional teamwork.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
