Sr Architect; Front-end

About this role

Gartner is seeking passionate, creative Software Architects who are excited to tackle technology challenges and create innovative engineering solutions that can be used as a module / framework by all the platforms serving our end users. Architects will join our Product Architecture Team, working closely with the Product Development team to ensure alignment with defined architecture principles. The team is responsible for R&D into new areas, modernizing legacy systems, and delivering rapid solutions that can be reused by other teams.

• Follow coding standards and build appropriate unit tests, integration tests, and deployment scripts
• Continuously problem‑solve to create secure and simple solutions
• Create robust backend and front‑end architecture for massive scalability and high performance
• Partner with engineering teams in Product Development, SRE, and Dev Ops in a fast‑paced Agile/SCRUM environment
• Focus on software quality and follow good software engineering practices

11‑15 years of experience developing customer‑facing products or web applications, with strong qualitative and quantitative problem‑solving skills and high ownership and accountability.

• 11‑15 years of software development experience
• Expertise in designing architecture and implementing architectural patterns
• Expertise in front‑end applications with frameworks such as React and Next.js
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes/Service Mesh)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, including core concepts and deployment strategies

• Experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
• Experience optimizing web page performance with various strategies
• Knowledge of mobile app frameworks

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field with software development experience
• Effective time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and business audiences
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills
• Willingness and aptitude to embrace new technologies/ideas and master concepts rapidly
• Intellectual curiosity, passion for technology, and keeping up with new trends
• Track record of delivering project work on time within budget with high quality
