Bluberi is a rapidly expanding gaming technology company headquartered in Las Vegas with studios across North America.
Job SummaryThe Embedded Software Developer III works with a team of embedded software developers and electronic engineers to implement and maintain software components such as libraries, drivers, and firmware, while mentoring junior developers. This is a fully remote position for candidates residing in Canada.
Responsibilities- Implement and maintain software and firmware components.
- Resolve difficult software issues.
- Assist the software team in fixing complex issues.
- Review tasks and provide estimated completion times.
- Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in software, electronics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7+ years of embedded software development experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and bash programming languages.
- Experience with CMake and Makefile-based development environments.
- Knowledge of Rust programming language.
- Proficiency in Unity with the ability to resolve complex issues.
- Experience developing embedded Linux builds using Buildroot or Yocto.
- Understanding of software requirements across various gaming jurisdictions.
- Experience with the Visual Studio development environment.
- Proficiency with SVN and GIT version control tools.
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
- Strong analytical mindset with root‑cause identification skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organizational and time‑management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the casino game industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Regularly talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, and use hands for handling tools and controls.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
- Potential for local, national, or international travel.
