We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help design and scale real-time, cloud-native backend systems. You’ll work closely with Engineering and Product teams to build high-performance services in the Banking and Payments domain.

What you’ll do

Design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems
Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of services
Contribute to the evolution of our backend architecture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovative fintech projects
Propose and implement technical improvements and new solutions
Stay up to date with modern technologies and engineering best practices

What we’re looking for

Strong experience in backend development (Java/Kotlin preferred)
Experience designing scalable and highly available systems
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs
Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and TDD
Experience with microservices architecture
Experience with cloud-native applications (preferably GCP)
Hands‑on mindset and problem‑solving attitude
Team player with strong communication skills

Nice to have

Experience with gRPC
Experience with Redis or other caching solutions
Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools
Background in fintech or regulated environments
Work on systems that directly impact product performance and scalability
Modern cloud-native architecture
Full remote (Italy + 30 days/year abroad)
