* ** JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
** We are seeking highly skilled and motivated research interns and to join our Access and Evaluation team of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State.
** Your working location will be on-site in State College, Pennsylvania.
** ARL is an authorized DoD Skill Bridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.
** You will:
*** Support research staff and faculty
* Conduct data analysis
* Support test and evaluation of software and models
* Assist with exploratory data analysis
* Develop and implement software methods in support of data analytics
* Visualize, interpret, and report data findings in dynamic data reports
** Required skills/experience areas include:
*** Computing or with computing-adjacent technologies
* Data science, cybersecurity, programming, etc.
* A willingness to both work with hardware and develop high-level software applications
* Existing government security clearance
** Preferred skills/experience areas include:
*** An existing secret or top secret security clearance
* Development of software within DoD development environment
* Development or evaluation AI/ML models

Your working location will be located fully onsite in State College.

** Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.  All positions at ARL require candidates to possess the ability to obtain a government security clearance; you will be notified during the interview process if this position is subject to a government background investigation.  You must be a U.S. citizen to apply.  Employment with the ARL will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
