Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
Software Engineer – CoStar – Arlington, VA
You will have a direct impact on highly visible CoStar Suite web applications that touch millions of users. This position is located in Arlington, VA and is on‑site Monday–Thursday with option to work from home on Friday.
Responsibilities- Design and develop high‑performance web applications used by thousands of users globally.
- Drive continuous improvement by focusing on engineering excellence.
- Influence CI/CD pipeline improvements.
- Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.
- Mentor junior developers, review code and architecture, and promote software development best practices.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities and best practices to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices.
- Develop and maintain an in‑depth working knowledge of the CRE industry and CoStar’s business model and technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit, in‑person university or college.
- 3+ years of production development experience in modern technologies such as React, Vue, Type Script, Node.js, C#, .NET, Open Search, Kafka, SQL, or No
SQL. - Experience building and launching successful products and platforms.
- Experience with cloud technologies like AWS or other managed services.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum processes and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience in unit, performance, and automation testing.
- Deep understanding of what drives the business for which you are building software.
- Active role in mentoring developers.
- Experience managing a large enterprise‑level code base, ensuring code quality and managing dependencies.
- Experience with React and/or Node.js.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) is a bonus.
