Software Development Engineer - US Federal

This position requires a security clearance at the TS/SCI w/CI Poly level. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance. An active TS/SCI w/CI Poly clearance is preferred. The role may require on‑site presence at client locations in the DC, MD, and VA (DMV) area.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and QA Engineers on functional design and analysis of requirements.
• Design and develop a product in a metadata‑driven development environment.
• Build and maintain robust, efficient, and maintainable code using an object‑oriented framework and class modeling.
• Solve customer‑reported issues.
• Mentor and learn from other team members through pair programming, code reviews, and hackathons.

Basic Qualifications:

• Security clearance at the TS/SCI w/CI Poly level.
• 5+ years experience with UML, web application development, or SaaS technologies.
• 5+ years of experience with design and development using an object‑oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, C++, etc.
• 5+ years of experience designing/developing business applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field or equivalent work experience.

Other

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with design and analysis of software for performance.
• Collaborative teammate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with JSON, REST, and Graph
  
  QL is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of key design patterns in object‑oriented development.
• Experience developing applications that prioritize usability and configurability.

Primary

Location:

USA.VA.Reston. Base Pay Range: $137,000 USD – $205,400 USD. Additional U.S. Locations: $123,900 USD – $222,000 USD. Compensation may include a Workday Bonus Plan or role‑specific commission, as well as annual refresh stock grants.

Teams dedicate at least 50% of their time each quarter to in‑office or field work, with flexible scheduling to balance personal and business needs. Remote “home office” roles may also attend in‑office gatherings for essential collaboration.
