Software Engineer, Senior Developer
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to be a core technical pillar of our Data Management team. Reporting to Tech Lead, you will be responsible for hands‑on development, fine‑tuning, and scaling of our Master Data Management (MDM) and ETL ecosystems. You will take ownership of complex technical tasks, ensure code quality across the team, and help translate the Tech Lead’s architectural vision into high‑performing reality.
Whatyou'll do:
- High‑Level Execution:
Lead the development and deployment of complex data pipelines using AWS Glue, Python, and SQL, ensuring they meet the performance standards set by the Tech Lead. - MDM Specialist:
Act as the primary technical expert for Ataccama, configuring advanced matching, merging, and data quality rules. - Technical Mentorship:
Provide daily guidance to junior developers, conducting deep‑dive code reviews to ensure best practices in Git and ETL logic. - Performance Optimization:
Proactively identify bottlenecks in Postgre
SQL queries and Glue jobs, implementing optimizations to reduce cloud costs and processing time. - Operational Resilience:
Lead the team through critical zones (like environment refreshes or tool upgrades), ensuring Git repositories are synced and recovery plans are executed flawlessly.
- Experience:
5+ years in Data Engineering, with a strong focus on ETL and AWS Cloud. - Technical Depth:
- Expertise in AWS Glue (Spark), SQS, and Lambda.
- Advanced SQL and Postgre
SQL‑ability to optimize complex stored procedures and handle large‑scale data sets. - Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
- MDM Knowledge:
Hands‑on experience with Ataccama or similar MDM tools (Informatica, Reltio, etc.) is a major plus. - Dev Ops Mindset:
Strong experience with Git (Bitbucket) workflows, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines. - Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Proactive Communicator:
You don't wait for stand‑ups to flag blockers. You have the ability to translate complex technical hurdles into clear, actionable updates for the Tech Lead and stakeholders. - Technical Mentor:
You enjoy explaining the "why" behind the code. You can provide constructive feedback during code reviews that helps junior engineers grow without discouraging them. - Documentation Champion:
You believe that code is only finished when it’s documented. You take pride in creating clear READMEs and Architecture diagrams that make the team more efficient. - Calm Under Pressure:
During bumpy periods‑like system upgrades or environment refreshes‑you remain the steady voice in the room, keeping the team focused and synchronized. - Ownership Mindset:
You take personal responsibility for the success of the sprint. If a deployment fails or a pipeline breaks, you lead the charge to fix it and communicate the resolution plan clearly. - Adaptable & Curious:
You have a strong desire to constantly improve your skills in tools like Ataccama and AWS Glue, and you share that knowledge openly with the team.
