Primary responsibilities in the Sr. Software Engineer positionDesign real‑time cloud processing solutions, implement advanced signal‑processing and geolocation algorithms with efficient software, test with real data, and provide applications to front‑line customer facilities. Create effective user interfaces and data‑visualization tools. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and mentor other engineers. Stay up‑to‑date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies and experiment with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects.
Work unsupervised with minimal direction and self‑start is a must.
- Highly proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability
- Highly proficient in C++ and Python for engineering and scientific applications in LINUX environments
- Experience providing technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and mentoring other engineers
- Demonstrated ability to design the architecture of software systems to ensure they achieve functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements
- Degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in software engineering‑related discipline
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
- Dev Ops and cloud computing experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP)
- Agile development processes and leadership
This position can be located at our Centennial, CO;
Chantilly, VA offices or our Tucson, AZ Headquarters. Remote work/telework is not available for this position. The likely salary range for this position is $190,000 to $260,000. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
