The RoleWe are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer based in the Detroit Metro area
, ideally near our office in Southfield, Michigan
.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building across the stack - from clean frontend experiences to reliable backend services, APIs, databases, integrations, and deployment workflows. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving product environment where requirements evolve, collaboration matters, and the best engineers think beyond tickets.
We are not looking for out-of-state relocation candidates for this role. We want someone already rooted in the Detroit/Southfield area who can grow with our local team over the long term.
What You’ll Do- Build and maintain full-stack web applications across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
- Work closely with product managers, AI/ML engineers, QA testers, designers, and business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements and workflow needs into clean, scalable, maintainable software.
- Develop intuitive frontend interfaces and reliable backend services.
- Support integrations with AI-enabled systems, document processing workflows, automation tools, and internal platforms.
- Debug, test, and improve existing applications with strong attention to quality and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, release preparation, and technical discussions.
- Help improve engineering practices, documentation, and development workflows.
- Collaborate with local and remote teammates while staying connected to our Southfield office culture.
- 3–6 years of full-stack engineering experience in modern web application development.
- Strong experience with frontend frameworks such as React or similar.
- Strong backend experience with js, Python, Flask/FastAPI, Express, or similar technologies
. - Solid understanding of databases such as Postgre
SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB
. - Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Comfortable working with Git, Git Hub, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to understand business workflows and translate them into working software.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Based in the Detroit Metro / Southfield, Michigan area

- Experience working in a startup, product company, or fast-moving engineering team.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
. - Exposure to AI/ML-enabled products, OCR, document processing, workflow automation, or healthcare technology.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, Git Hub Actions, Docker, or deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or agile delivery practices.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, legal, government, or other regulated environments.
