Title: AWESOME Software Engineer (
** ALL LEVELS) –
TS/SCI-clearance REQUIRED

Location: We have brand‑new work in a variety of classified areas across Reston, Arlington, and McLean, VA, with options for remote work where applicable.

MUST HAVE an Active TS/SCI Clearance.

We have senior engineers you can work with, interface with our customers, and help direct the technology. You will be actively coding on this project.

Black Cape is a technology company focused on Machine Learning, AI, Cloud, and BIG Data solutions for Federal Government and select commercial customers. We build and deploy web applications, data analysis tools, and machine learning capabilities on platforms such as AWS, JWICS, and Dev Ops pipelines.

Our team works on aggressive schedules across the US Intelligence Community and Department of Defense, delivering proven, repeatable technical solutions.

Exceptional full‑stack, language‑agnostic coding experts at the mid‑senior level.

The ideal candidate can work independently, is passionate about technology, and readily adopts new languages or technologies.

• 3+ years of professional experience
• Proficiency in at least one object‑oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, or C++
• Experience with at least one MVC framework (e.g., Spring, Django, Flask, Rails)
• Experience with one relational database (MySQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, or SQLite)
• Experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Red Hat, or CentOS)
• Working knowledge of HTTP, HTML, REST, CSS, and Java Script

• Proficiency in a scripting language (Python or Perl)
• Experience with NGINX, Apache, or similar web server configuration
• Familiarity with a JavaScript framework (Backbone, Angular, Ember, or Vue.js)
