What You Will Do- Help users get the most out of Victoria Metrics in practical, real-world scenarios.
- Maintain core functionality, with a focus on issues that impact everyday usability.
- Contribute to improving documentation so users can find answers more easily on their own.
- Look for ways to simplify usage while preserving backward compatibility.
- Improve existing features where it makes sense, avoiding unnecessary complexity.
- Help keep the codebase simple, understandable, and maintainable over time.
- Ensure that changes and contributions stay aligned with product direction and real user needs.
- Help maintain system quality and performance by strengthening existing tests and adding new ones where needed.
- Help the Support Engineering team in investigating and resolving complex performance issues seen in production.
- Collaborate with the open-source community by participating in issue discussions, providing feedback on pull requests, and helping users across Slack, Telegram, Git Hub, and other channels.
- 5+ years building and operating production systems.
- Ability to understand, write, and review Golang code.
- Understanding of the observability domain and production debugging
- Able to read, write, and review complex systems code
- User-focused, willing to help debug real-world issues
- High ownership and ability to drive tasks independently
- Strong written and spoken English required
- Experience with Prometheus Victoria Metrics .
- Experience with Grafana.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
