Dev Technology Group is seeking .NET Developers in the local Chicago and Washington D.C. areas to support our federal government client’s mission to develop new tools and technologies, enhance existing systems, and provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support. The team works in an Agile environment and looks for members who are technically growth‑oriented, collaborative, and able to manage complex work activities in a deadline‑driven setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide implementation support for new applications/services and/or enhancements to existing applications/services in an Agile environment.
  • Implement applications/services according to technical requirements and architecture.
  • Design specifications and perform testing to ensure functionality.
  • Analyze technical requirements, architecture, and design; proactively identify and resolve potential development and implementation issues, and conduct feasibility analyses to improve application performance and mitigate risks.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
  • Must have 3 years of .NET technical field experience combined with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3 years of experience as a developer with Microsoft development tools such as Visual Studio, C#, .NET, Asp.NET, MVC, WCF, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, and/or Team Foundation Server.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Passion for solving complex software challenges and enjoyment of working with teammates to achieve solutions.
  • Adaptability to shifting project priorities and evolving business requirements in an Agile environment.
  • Commitment to cross‑functional alignment and communication.
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with non‑technical, executive‑level government officials.
  • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business processes, translate them into technical requirements, and guide the development team.
  • Planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system design.
  • Designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business processes and application requirements.
  • Writing testable, scalable, and efficient code and leading code reviews.
Location
  • Developers shall be on‑site 3 days a week and must reside in the local commuting areas of the CFTC DC Headquarters location and/or Chicago Regional Office.
