Joining the team as a Lead iOS engineer, you’ll be an integral and vital part of the team. You’ll blur the lines between engineer and product designer at times, brainstorming and executing on the best ways to foster community and authenticity on Realtime. Plus you’ll use a modern tech stack and utilize the best tech available.

We have high standards of quality, so this job will be fast‑paced and collaborative, with an emphasis on “getting things done right,” and not just getting them done.

This role is hybrid with a combination of remote work and in‑person work based out of our NY location. Candidates should either be located in the NY area, or be willing to relocate.

• 5+ years experience in iOS and Swift
• Led a team of 5 or more engineers and colleagues should feel they can learn from you
• Built, shipped and iterated on products from 0 to millions of users (at minimum hundreds of thousands)
• Experience with Firebase (Auth, Realtime DB, FCM, Crashlytics)
• Able to take a feature from spec to completion (UI, Data/Backend, Testing/QA, Future reworks/iterations)
• Attention to detail in product development
• Able to learn new technologies as we grow/scale; open to working frontend and backend
• Collaborative approach to building; able to work cross‑functionally with CEO, marketing and operations teams
• You’re hardworking but don’t take yourself too seriously
• Experience building consumer products
• Understands the basics of web3

• Manage & scale APIs built in node.js
• 1+ years experience with node.js
• Experience with Elasticsearch
• Has built social apps
• Experience building in‑app messaging
• Video call technologies (Twilio, Agora, WebRTC)
• UI/UX design knowledge, experience, or at least interest
• Experience writing on chains or smart contracts
• An eye for design
