Associate, Quantitative Developer

The Quantitative Developer will help with the implementation of efficiency‑improving solutions for the monthly valuation of commercial mortgage loans.

• Analyzing investment data and deriving detailed inferences or attributions.
• Assessing complex financial models for opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Using the latest technology tools—including AI coding tools and agents—to enhance the efficiency or reduce the complexity of Excel workflows.
• Writing code that ingests and exports data to/from Excel and databases.
• Translating pieces of Excel models into C# code for use on web‑application platforms.
• Learning and using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to extract, transform and load data.
• Adding time‑saving and helpful features to .NET Core web‑application suites.

Required:

• Minimum of 3 years experience.
• Strong background with at least one type of real‑estate equity or debt investment, such as REITs, CMBS, RMBS or whole‑loan trading.
• Proficiency in writing object‑oriented code in a language such as C#, with experience in Java, C++, or Python acceptable.
• Experience manipulating database data with SQL (Microsoft T‑SQL, Oracle SQL, or Snowflake SQL). Willingness to use Microsoft T‑SQL primarily.
• Experience working with complex Excel workbooks.
• College degree or higher in a STEM field; master’s or PhD holders welcome.

Preferred:

• Experience with web development.
• Willingness to adopt AI technology.

Base Compensation Range: $ to $ annually.
