The Product:
Core & Connectivity
Our Core platform includes properties, calendar, messaging, metrics, operations, and guest experience. The Connectivity component integrates with major online travel agencies such as Agoda, Airbnb, , Google Travel, and VRBO. Over 18,000 customers rely on this product.
The role focuses on maintaining and improving the core platform and OTA connectivity.
What you will be working onYou will dive deep into our foundational codebase, develop new features, maintain existing features, and improve platform stability and partner connectivity.
- Gain deep knowledge of current OTA connections to maximize API benefits, improve downtime resilience, and increase edge‑case coverage.
- Implement and maintain integrations with future connectivity partners.
- Participate in product shaping discussions, ship new core platform features, and iterate based on customer feedback.
- Build user experiences that are simple for customers and maintainable for engineers.
- Collaborate with product, sales, customer success, and engineering teams to ship value‑adding features.
- Develop in a monolithic codebase on a Kubernetes‑powered infrastructure‑as‑code stack.
- Use observability tooling to track and debug post‑deployment.
- Identify and resolve performance and resource issues that impact business operations and customer experience.
- Refactor core platform and connectivity code for easier understanding, maintenance, and testing.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, focused on backend technologies.
- Extensive experience with Laravel, PHP 7+, MySQL, and testing pipelines in production web applications used by paying customers.
- Strong sense of testable, maintainable, and intuitive code, with focus on customer and business value.
- Ability to think through non‑obvious usage scenarios and anticipate ripple effects in complex systems.
- High empathy toward customers and teammates.
- Exceptional written communication skills.
- Self‑motivation with decision making ability in uncertain environments.
- Experience with queue/job‑centric backends is a plus.
- Experience building production systems that ingest data from third‑party APIs is a big plus.
- Remote‑only, fully distributed company; location not required, suitable for EU or US timezones.
- Compensation range: USD $ – $, adjusted for cost of living. US employees: gross $ – $.
- Equity in the form of company RSUs, up to $76,026.50.
