Join Cars Commerce in shaping the future of Automotive Commerce by developing a new dealer-facing product. This greenfield opportunity focuses on an AI-first engineering approach using Claude Code, Next.js, and React to build a "must-have" product from the ground up.
About YouYou are a Lead Frontend Software Engineer who thrives in the early stages of product development ("v1 to v10"). You are AI-native, proficient with Claude Code, and champion performance, usability, and accessibility. You understand the importance of testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
Why You'll Be Excited About This Role- Lead Greenfield Architecture & Development of a newly launched Hub website using Next.js and React.
- Author and Evolve Component Libraries and design systems.
- Drive Product Value & Insights by partnering with data and product teams.
- Engage in Cross-Team Collaboration with engineering, design, and product partners.
- Utilize AI-Orchestration with Claude Code to enhance team output.
- Focus on Engineering Excellence with robust testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide Mentorship & Technical Leadership to the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of front-end software engineering experience.
- Expert proficiency in Next.js, React, and Type Script.
- Demonstrated experience building accessible, themeable design systems.
- Proven ability to design scalable front-end architectures for SaaS or B2B enterprise tools.
- High proficiency with Claude Code (or similar LLM-based development tools).
- Deep knowledge of browser fundamentals and Core Web Vitals optimization.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and secure authentication/authorization patterns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with modern CI/CD, UI testing frameworks, and observability tools.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
