Remote .Net Software Developer

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to support and enhance a recently modernized application built on .NET Core
8. This role will focus heavily on backend development, database integrations, API support, and operational reporting to ensure reliable and accurate access to member and plan sponsor data. The developer will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to support reporting needs, maintain and enhance SSRS reports, and ensure backend services and APIs handle complex data scenarios, including downstream dependencies and unavailable source system responses.

In addition, this role will play a key part in application stability by supporting CI/CD deployments, troubleshooting production issues, and adhering to SDLC, security, and compliance best practices in a regulated, enterprise environment.

• Strong hands‑on experience with .NET Core / .NET 8 backend development
• Proven experience working with SQL Server and DB2 databases, including data access and integrations
• Experience developing, supporting, and maintaining SSRS reports for operational and member data
• Solid experience building and supporting RESTful APIs, including handling error states and data availability issues
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Team City and Octopus Deploy or related tools
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills in an enterprise or regulated environment (healthcare preferred)
