Software Development Manager - Work from home

Overview

Client is an international finance, regulatory, and consulting agency that serves customers in various verticals such as health, human services, technology, and education. This line of business specifically supports the education vertical. The product is a powerful management tool that provides extensive reporting capabilities and instant secure access to student information via the internet.

• Lead full stack development teams typically of 5-10 developers across Jr to Sr levels in an agile environment.
• Conduct code reviews, lead scrum meetings, and contribute hands‑on development as needed.
• Communicate with internal and external customers and manage the product’s architecture, promoting best practices in application development, web services and/or microservices.
• Mentor and manage developers, spending 70‑80% of time on management and 20‑30% on development.
• Develop and customize highly tailored web applications, using object‑oriented design, and write new code for customizations and new features.
• Work with enterprise‑level environments and applications customized for thousands of end users.

• 3+ years of experience leading full stack development teams.
• College degree required, regardless of professional experience.
• Experience in an enterprise development environment with highly customized applications for thousands of end users.
• Strong background in object‑oriented design (minimum 5 years).
• Proficiency with SQL Server databases.
• Experience with REST APIs, web services or microservices.
• Previous role as a manager, not just a team lead or senior developer.

• ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, T‑SQL.
• Angular, JavaScript, Java.
• Python, PHP, C++, EDI (optional).
• Agile development practices.

Base salary around $150,000–$160,000 with a 10% annual bonus.
