An employer is looking for a Java/Functional Automation Testing Engineer (Remote) to perform 50% Java development and 50% functional and integration testing. This team falls in the healthcare domain and you will work on several new and existing projects.

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering, building and supporting scalable, production‑grade systems
• Strong proficiency in Java, with hands‑on experience in modern Java versions
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Spring Batch for developing microservices and batch‑processing applications

  SQL databases, preferably Azure Cosmos DB
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka for event‑driven architectures and real‑time data streaming
• Experience deploying and operating applications in containerized environments, including Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases
• Strong experience in the automation testing space
• Backend automation functional and integration testing experience
• Strong Java scripting skills for writing automated regression test scripts from scratch
• UI, API and database automation testing experience
• REST Assured experience with Java for API automation testing
• Strong SQL server and SQL query expertise
• Proficient with bug tracking software like JIRA
• Adept at debugging, troubleshooting, and critical thinking
